Get Engaged!

Below is an attachment to a powerful video that illustrates the "Power of Us".   The video is entitled "50,000 Coaches".

Just as the community rallied together to help Akeelah prepare for the National Spelling Bee, our community must rally around all of our students.  Everyone has something of value to offer.  You may not be able to attend all, or any, of the school based events, but there are opportunities for your time, talent and treasures to be used.   There are opportunities for you to assist in your home with your own children, and in your neighborhood.  It truly takes a village to raise a child, and it will take all of us to ensure our children develop in an environment where they see families, schools and the community working together to support them in their efforts to achieve academic success, realize their dreams and walk out their purpose in life.
