Welcome to our weekly Battle Creek Central Family Newsletter! To support our commitment to clear, consistent communication, we will be using this tool to share news, announcements, and upcoming events.
This week, we have a few key announcements to share. We've shared these announcements through the all-call, and we ask for your partnership in communicating with students.
🗞️ The Bearcat News is looking for a Secretary. Pick up an application in Room 2234.
🤖Join the Robotics Club! They meet from 3:15-5:00 and you can sign up through 21st Century.
🏊 Men's Varsity Swim Team has meets on January 11 and 16.
🏀Men's Varsity Basketball Team has games on December 27 and 28 for the Holiday Tournament.
🏀 Women's Varsity Basketball Team has games on December 27 and 28 for the Holiday Tournament.
🏋️The Varsity Wrestling Team has meets on January 6 and 10.
❄️ Winter break is from December 25 to January 5. December 22 and January 8 are full days of school.
🏬 The Aveda Institute will be at Battle Creek Central on January 9 at 11:15. Juniors and Seniors can sign up to attend in their advisory classes.
❤️ There is no school on January 15 to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior.
📚 First semester is coming to a close on January 19. There will be half days at BCC on January 18 and 19. Please make sure all assignments are turned in and you are ready for final exams. Second semester begins on January 22!
✋Attendance: The number one determinant of high school graduation is good school attendance. Students who miss 10% or more of school throughout the year miss out on significant class time and can quickly fall off track for graduation. Please help us support your children in their success by ensuring they are in school, on time, every day.
