Welcome to our weekly Battle Creek Central Family Newsletter! To support our commitment to clear, consistent communication, we will be using this tool to share news, announcements, and upcoming events.
This week, we have a few key announcements to share. We've shared these announcements through the all-call, and we ask for your partnership in communicating with students.
❄️ January 8 is a full day of school.
🏬 The Aveda Institute will be at Battle Creek Central on January 9 at 11:15. Juniors and Seniors can sign up to attend in their advisory classes.
❤️ There is no school on January 15 to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior.
📚 First semester is coming to a close on January 19. Final exams are the week of January 16-19, and there will be half days at BCC on January 18 and 19. Please check your grades, make sure all assignments are turned in, and study for your final exams. Second semester begins on January 22!
⚖️ Applications are now open for the 2024 SEED Award Program! The deadline is January 26, 2024. Students can turn in their applications to our Welcome Center or submit an application online.
🏀 Women's Varsity Basketball Team has games on January 11 and 12.
🏊 Men's Varsity Swim Team has meets on January 11 and 16.
🏀Men's Varsity Basketball Team has games on January 11 and 12.
🏋️The Varsity Wrestling Team has meets on January 10 and 13.
✋Attendance: The number one determinant of high school graduation is good school attendance. Students who miss 10% or more of school throughout the year miss out on significant class time and can quickly fall off track for graduation. Please help us support your children in their success by ensuring they are in school, on time, every day.
