Welcome to our Battle Creek Central Family Newsletter! To support our commitment to clear, consistent communication, we will be using this tool to share news, announcements, and upcoming events.
This week, we have a few key announcements to share. We've shared these announcements through the all-call, but ask for your partnership in communicating with students at home as well.
- 📺 There is a Freshman Career Panel on January 29 and 30 presenting Engineering, Skilled Trades, and Information Technology.
- 📱 Cell phones must be turned off from 7:30-2:35.
- 🌡 There is a tour for sophomores in the Public Safety pathway to Jackson College on January 30 and on January 31 the Nursing/Healthcare pathway travels to the VA Medical Center.
- 🌸 There is a half day of school on February 2 and no school on February 16.
- 💵 We a having a FAFSA Focus Day on February 6 from 7:30 am - 7:00 pm in the McQuiston Center. FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
💵 The Battle Creek Community Foundation is not requiring a FAFSA application with their Universal Scholarship Application for 2024 which is due March 1. Go, Seniors!! - 👨🏿 Parent/Teacher conferences are on February 29 from 3-7.
- 🏊 Men's Swim Team has meets on February 1 and 6.
- 🏀 Men's basketball team has games on January 30 and February 2.
- 🏀 Women's basketball team has a game on February 1.
- 🏋️ Wrestling team has a meet on January 31.
- ⚽️ Soccer conditioning has begun for women on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- ✋Attendance: The number one determinant of high school graduation is good school attendance. Students who miss 10% or more of school throughout the year miss out on significant class time and can quickly fall off track for graduation. Please help us support your children in their success by ensuring they are in school, on time, every day.
