Welcome to our Battle Creek Central Family Newsletter! To support our commitment to clear, consistent communication, we will be using this tool to share news, announcements, and upcoming events.
This week, we have a few key announcements to share. We've shared these announcements through the all-call, and we ask for your partnership in communicating with students at home.
🎈 There is a Winter Formal on February 10 from 7-11 in the BCCHS gym. We have a Spirit week leading up to the formal. It is Monday, February 5 (Match with your loved one), Feb 6 (Red, pink, and white out), Feb 7 (Date night- dress your best), Feb 8 (Bring your babies - stuffed animals, etc. no live ones), Feb 9 (White Lies - obvious lie about yourself on white t-shirt).
- 📺 Freshmen have a career panel on business and finance on Feb 5 and 6.
- 💵 We a having a FAFSA Focus Day on February 6 from 7:30 am - 7:00 pm in the McQuiston Center. FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
- ⌛️ Count Day is February 14.
- 📝 We are offering an SAT Prep course for six weeks beginning February 10. Sign up in advisory.
- 🌸 No school on February 16.
- 🩸 There will be a Blood Drive on February 23.
- 👨🏿 Parent/Teacher conferences are on February 29 from 3-7.
- 📱 Cell phones must be turned off from 7:30-2:35.
- 🐹 Anime Club meets on Tuesdays from 2:50-5:00.
- 🏊 Men's Swim Team has meets on February 6 and 8.
- 🏀 Men's basketball team has games on February 5 and 6.
- 🏀 Women's basketball team has games on February 5 and 6.
- 🏋️ Wrestling team has a meet on February 7.
- ⚽️ Soccer conditioning has begun for women on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- ✋Attendance: The number one determinant of high school graduation is good school attendance. Students who miss 10% or more of school throughout the year miss out on significant class time and can quickly fall off track for graduation. Please help us support your children in their success by ensuring they are in school, on time, every day.
