Mar 22, 2022 | Battle Creek Central High School
Scholarship. Service. Leadership. Character. These are the characteristics that define and describe what it means to be a part of the National Honor Society (NHS). NHS is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, the NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic achievements.
This week, the Battle Creek Central High School chapter of NHS was proud to welcome 27 new members. Members must maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete 30 hours of community volunteer work each school year. At Battle Creek Central, NHS students have the opportunity to give out candy to children during its annual Trunk-or-Treat each October, and to serve meals for the famous Battle Creek Central Hall of Fame Dinner when conditions allow.
The BCCHS chapter of NHS includes more than 65 current members and is led by student officers Noah Prysock (President), TreShai Hubbard (Vice President), and Keymari Smith (Secretary) as well as staff advisors Autumn Felder, Tyler Gilland and Jennifer Kay.
