On Thursday and Friday of last week, Battle Creek Central's Practical Law students conducted a mock trial twice in front of two District court judges, Judge Richardson and Judge Bomia. These outstanding students made Central proud with their preparation, the quality of their arguments rooted in law, and their professionalism in the courtroom. This year, a "guilty" verdict was rendered, though the defense promised to "win it on appeal."
Special thanks go out to Andrea Satchwell and David Makled from the county public defender's office for their assistance and generosity in providing this opportunity. Congratulations to these wonderful, hard-working students for another successful mock trial!
