We know this isn’t the senior spring that any of our students and their families were expecting, but even when we’re all in our separate homes, Bearcat pride has been stronger than ever. And we have not lost sight of what a special moment graduation represents for students and their families.
The teachers and staff at BCCHS are so proud of each and every one of our graduating seniors. Graduation from high school marks an important milestone, and we are excited to celebrate our seniors in a number of different ways these next few weeks!
Senior Spotlights
Each day, we have been and will continue to share Senior Spotlights on Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to follow us at @BattleCreekCentralBearcats on both Facebook and Instagram as we continue to share them through the remainder of the school year. We’d love for you to join us in celebrating each senior by commenting on and liking each post.

Senior Celebration Day
Join us for our combined Virtual Decision Day and Senior Celebration on Thursday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate the Class of 2020! This year's event will include our seniors' post-graduation plans, advice from recent Bearcat Alumni and shoutouts from our staff at BCCHS. We will be celebrating via Facebook.
Senior Car Parade
On Friday, May 29, Bearcat educators will be making the rounds to each senior’s house to cheer them on at our first annual Senior Car Parade. We will be driving by every single senior's home following the schedule and route below. Throughout the day, we will go live on our Facebook page to give updates on our progress. We encourage seniors to wear their cap and gown and be out by the street with family (practicing social distancing). Please make sure that the yard signs are out to help the parade participants easily recognize which home they are celebrating. We highly encourage you to email Ms. Felder at AFelder@battle-creek.k12.mi.us to verify what route you will be on (route schedule below):
- 7:45 a.m. – East Side School of Choice (Bellevue, Harper Creek, Ceresco, Union City)

Graduation Ceremony
An official graduation ceremony has always been an important rite of passage. As seniors and families of seniors, you have been looking forward to this day since the beginning. Though we don't yet know if in-person graduation will be possible, we have made additional plans for in-person graduation on both Friday, June 26 and Friday, July 24 to serve as back-up graduation dates at the W.K. Kellogg Auditorium. If we are unable to hold in-person graduation due to government restrictions, we will use July 24 to hold a virtual graduation ceremony.
The Class of 2020 has worked hard each year to get here — and even if we can’t all be together in person, we’ll be sure to give them the proper send-off! We couldn’t be more proud of all of our graduating seniors, and we can’t wait to hear about all the adventures that come next for them.
