This month, we're celebrating our exceptional CTE educators, continuing with Christina Taylor!
A third-year teacher at Battle Creek Central High School, Taylor brings years of real-world business experience into the classroom. Born and raised in Battle Creek, she combines her local pride with a passion for equipping our Bearcats with future-ready skills.
At BCCHS, Taylor teaches Web Design, Business Computer Applications, and Yearbook/Journal. Her classes prioritize hands-on learning, immersing students in tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel while guiding them through creating and managing websites—skills critical in today's digital economy.
The BCCHS Yearbook is returning after a long hiatus (2020)—now reimagined as "Bearflix"! Through the yearbook program that Taylor leads, BCCHS has revived this tradition after a four-year hiatus, and it's coming back with a Netflix theme this year. The Yearbook/Journal class blends graphic design, storytelling, and project management, empowering students to document school memories while learning industry-standard publishing tools.
In Business Computer Applications, students build proficiency in software across professions, from crafting presentations to analyzing data. Meanwhile, Taylor's Web Design course dives into website development, teaching our students the foundational web design steps critical to developing any website or application.
With technology embedded in nearly every career, her focus on digital literacy ensures students graduate ready to navigate a tech-driven world.
