We are excited to share a major new partnership with the Bearcat Advantage scholarship! Last year, we announced the Bearcat Advantage scholarship, which covers up to 100% of tuition and mandatory fees for qualifying BCPS graduates at eligible four-year universities and colleges in Michigan or Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the country.
Today, we are thrilled to announce the next step: Michigan Colleges Alliance is partnering with the Bearcat Advantage and offering additional funding for eligible scholarship recipients to cover up to 100% of tuition and fees at 15 top private colleges and universities in the state.
Through this partnership, each participating MCA institution will generously match the difference between its tuition and fees and the maximum amount covered by the Bearcat Advantage scholarship for eligible BCPS graduates, covering up to 100% of tuition and fees.
The 15 participating institutions include Adrian College, Albion College, Alma College, Andrews University, Aquinas College, Calvin University, College for Creative Studies, University of Detroit Mercy, Hillsdale College, Hope College, Kalamazoo College, Madonna University, The University of Olivet, Siena Heights University, and Spring Arbor University.
Each participating MCA institution will match (through institutional grants and other non-loan sources) the difference between the cost of tuition and fees and the maximum covered by the Bearcat Advantage at full eligibility. The following table gives an example of how Bearcat Advantage recipients at different levels of eligibility could receive funding:
