How to Update Student Contact Information

Dear BCPS Families,

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, it is important to make sure that we have accurate contact information for each enrolled BCPS student. Please take a moment to update your primary phone number and mailing address so that we are able to keep you updated with information and learning opportunities over the summer.

Updating Your Phone Number

Updating your phone number in Skyward only takes a few minutes. Use the phone number you would like teachers and staff to call to speak to students and family members. This can be whatever number you choose. Please follow these instructions:

1. Sign in to Skyward Family Access (if you forgot your password, follow the directions on the site).
2. Select the student whose contact information you want to update at the top left side of the page. This will open a new window with the student’s photo.
3. Select “student info” from the menu on the left side.
4. On the top right side of the page select “request changes for [first name of student]” This will open options for areas in the enrollment form that you are able to update.
   
5. Enter the updated phone number.

Updating Your Home Address

If your student's mailing address has changed since you last verified it with the Office of Student Services, please contact us to ensure we have your most recent address on file. To update your student's home address, submit a proof of residence document, including: a utility bill, purchase agreement, or rental agreement with your current address listed. These documents may be submitted in one of two ways:

1. Drop the proof of residence documents off at our student services office located at 3 W. Van Buren St. (Please come prepared to wear a mask when entering the building).
2. Submit a clear photograph of the document by taking a picture and emailing it as an attachment to studentservices@battlecreekpublicschools.org.

If your student is currently staying in a home that is different than the address we have on file or if you have other questions about this process, please email us at studentservices@battlecreekpublicschools.org.
