Following a tour of Battle Creek Central’s amazing Health Care Simulation Lab, our guests, including Bronson President and CEO Bill Manns, multiple Bearcat alumni, and even our very own Board member, Dr. Elishae Johnson, made their way to the McQuiston Learning Center to participate in a panel discussion. Students from Battle Creek Central’s Academy of Health & Human Services, as well as our BC STEM 8th-graders, then heard the incredible success stories of each panelist, followed by time for some genuine and insightful questions.
This was an incredible opportunity not only for our Bearcats to learn about a variety of career options in the healthcare field, but also to see a diverse group of professionals who look like them, many of whom walked the same halls in high school, and who are now available as connections for our students to make as they continue pursuing careers in healthcare.
Many thanks to the staff from Bronson who took the time to meet with and inspire our students, BCCHS Academy of Health and Human Services Principal Toni McClenney, who helped orchestrate the event, as well as our incredible Student Ambassadors who hosted the event, Kaijehl Williams, Angelo Williams, and Imani Timmons.
