At Northwestern, we’re so proud to see the ways that families, students and staff have supported one another over the past school year. We know that next year will bring great things for our Northwestern families — and we can’t wait to welcome you back in the fall. We are very excited to welcome a new lead principal for the 2020–2021 school year, Mr. Dave Fooy!
Mr. Fooy brings a strong background in educational leadership to the Bearcat family. He joins Northwestern from Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS), where he served in various leadership positions for the past 12 years at both the high school and middle school levels. Prior to joining KPS, he was a special education teacher at Georgetown Middle School in Georgetown, Kentucky. Mr. Fooy is a native of southwestern Michigan. After graduating from Comstock High School, he attended the University of Kentucky, where he found his passion for education as he earned his Bachelors of Arts in Special Education. He then went on to obtain two master’s degrees in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University.
Mr. Fooy is eager to meet Northwestern students and families this fall, and is fully committed to building a positive school environment where our students love to be and love to learn!
