Diversity Org and Kellogg Company recently invited Battle Creek Central, Battle Creek Academy, and WK Kellogg Preparatory High School students to attend a Kellogg Diversity event. Students had the opportunity to engage in thought processes regarding careers, education, internships, networking, wealth, and much more. The event included a panel of seven Kellogg employees who had the opportunity to talk about their careers, education, and how they landed a position at Kellogg’s.
The students were able to take a tour of various areas of Kellogg's Headquarters and pack snack packs. The event served as a way not only for students to learn about careers but also to build relationships and work together with students from Battle Creek Academy, BCCHS, and WK Kellogg Preparatory High School.
W.K. Prep. Communities in Schools Coordinator Jennifer Williams shared, "The event offered students an educational and fun day of exploration, opportunity, mindset changes, and reflection."
"It was an incredible opportunity for them to meet people that once were looking from the outside of this building and are now on the inside and to learn the steps they can take to end up in the same building," she added.
