The Outdoor Education Center (OEC), commonly called "Clear Lake Camp," is a division of Battle Creek Public Schools. The OEC is 175 acres of forests, fields, and lakeshore on Clear Lake in Dowling, Michigan, just 12 miles north of Battle Creek. It is the perfect setting for our students to connect with nature. Today, we conduct day, residential and outreach programs for all ages. All BCPS GSRP preschoolers visit the Farm Animal Program, 3rd graders spend a day with Ma & Pa Merrill at Pioneer Cabin, and 5th graders attend a week-long residential camp with an emphasis on science.
