Zero Tax Rate Increase BCPS Improvement Bond

Making our schools safer and better

On May 6, 2025, Battle Creek voters will have the opportunity to vote on a bond initiative that would help the district generate $27.5 million over the next two years, and help make significant progress toward addressing BCPS’ long-term facilities needs for current and future generations of Bearcat students.

It is expected that the bond initiative would result in NO INCREASE above the current debt millage rate, ensuring that our district could continue to improve our schools without raising debt tax rates above 2024 levels for our community!

All Bearcat students deserve a world class education and opportunities, and that requires world class facilities.
