At BCPS, our goal is 100% success for every Bearcat. At Battle Creek Central, we aim to provide a career-, college-, and community-ready education for all students in grades 9-12.
Battle Creek Central High School Career Academies
The Battle Creek Central High School Career Academies are small learning communities within the school that integrate traditional academic coursework with work-based opportunities.
All Battle Creek Central students are part of the Career Academies, turning the high school into a “wall-to-wall,” state of the art education experience. The Academies bridge the gap between classroom experiences and career expectations, empowering students to excel in school, the workforce, and beyond.
Check Out Our New Health Care Simulation Lab
The brand new BCCHS health care simulation lab, opened in fall 2020, gives students in the BCCHS Career Academies Nursing and Health Care pathways access to a state-of-the-art facility where students can experience hands-on learning. The only one of its kind in the region, the lab is a state-approved training site for Certified Nursing Assistant and Emergency Medical Technician certification programs, right here at Battle Creek Central High School!
Students have access to the equipment and experience that is typically found in real-life nursing and Health Care facilities only, like a replica of an ambulance, stretchers, tables, lifts and “practice patients” in the form of fully-articulated, high-fidelity medical dummies.

Bearcats Beyond The Bell
The BCPS 21st Century Program is at no cost to families for before-school programming Monday–Friday for K-5 students , and after-school for K–12 Monday-Thursday to form positive relationships, practice academic skills and engage in new experiences.
BCCHS Career Academies
From smaller learning environments to college visits and internships, Career Academies provides students with experiential learning opportunities tailored to different interest areas.
Parent University
Parent University equips parents and caregivers with knowledge and skills to raise confident, educated, and emotionally intelligent children, while empowering you to be the most effective advocate for your child.
